Anne Boleyn

Anne Boleyn, Marchioness of Pembroke and Queen Consort of England (?1507 – May 19, 1536) was the second wife and queen consort of Henry VIII and the mother of Queen Elizabeth I of England. Henry's marriage to her was the pretext of considerable political and religious upheaval, having led to the separation of England from Rome and ultimately opening the way for the Reformation called for by the people. Her life has been the subject of numerous biographies, novels, motion pictures, plays and operas.
